The Episcopal Church of Saint John and Saint Mark is a diverse spiritual community. It is based on the principle that we do not presume to judge others but rather seek to honor young and old, male and female. We are unified by the common goal of seeking the love, acceptance, forgiveness and transforming power of Jesus Christ. We hope that you will accept our open invitation to worship with us. Be assured that you are welcome, valued, and needed in our spiritual community. Our interim Rector is the Rev. Ann E. Heinemann of Albany. You may call her "Ann" or "Mother Ann" or "Mother Heinemann". She will be with us to pastor, guide, lead worship, preach & teach until a new rector is called.
Our worship is participatory with congregational
singing and said responses from the prayer book. There are
readers, ushers,
Music is a blend of traditional music from the 1982 Hymnal and contemporary from our "Praise Book". We have a keyboard, guitars and bells. Worship at The Episcopal Church of St. John & St. Mark is liturgical from the Book of Common Prayer 1979. We use Rite II, Eucharistic Prayer A with a rotation of possible Prayers of the People. The presence of God is felt by many who enter this sanctuary. This is truly holy ground
We are in the search process for a
rector. Our profile is available at Profile.
